Descriptions

 

The Voice Mail Servers store voice mail subscriber information, including MSISDN, subscriber status and mailbox setting.

 

 

Implementation

1.Click the Configuration main menu.

 

2.Select VSS under the Subscriber submenu.

 

3.Select the proper VSS from the upper Select System drop-down menu.

 

4.Click 2_017 at the upper-right corner.

 

5.Fill in the parameter details for this subscriber, select Register Flag box under Status.

 

6.Click 2_029 at the top of the parameter table to create this subscriber in VSS.

CLI Flag = A caller is forwarded to the mailbox but leave no message, the VMS sends a short message to the mailbox host indicating the caller number or not.

1.Click the Account main menu.

 

2.Select VSS under the Subscriber submenu.

 

3.Select the proper VSS from the upper Select System drop-down menu.

 

4.Click the MSISDN of the subscriber want to edit, this displays the editable parameter window.

 

5.Under the Value heading, modify the values of the subscriber parameters as required.

 

6.Click 2_020 button at the top of the parameter table to upload the new values to the VSS.

 

7.Click 2_019 button at the top of the parameter table to update values from the VSS.

 

8.Verify that the new values have been saved for the subscriber.

1.Click the Account main menu.

 

2.Select VSS under the Subscriber submenu.

 

3.Select the proper VSS from the upper Select System drop-down menu.

 

4.Click the MSISDN of the subscriber want to delete, this displays the parameter window.

 

5.Click the 2_021 button at the top of the parameter table to delete this subscriber from the VSS.

 

6.Click 2_014 to upload VMS subscribers from this VSS to EMS database.

 

7.Verify the subscriber has been deleted from the VSS.

1.Click the Account main menu.

 

2.Select VSS under the Subscriber submenu.

 

3.Select the proper VSS from the upper Select System drop-down menu.

 

4.Click 2_022 at the upper-right corner.

 

5.Enter the number of subscribers want to create in the Batch Amount box, a maximum of 100 subscribers in a batch.

 

6.Fill in the start MSISDN and the required initialization parameters for the batch of subscribers.

 

7.Click 2_029 at the top of the parameter table to create these subscribers in VSS.

 

8.Click 2_014 to upload VMS subscribers from VSS to EMS database.

1.Click the Account main menu.

 

2.Select VSS under the Subscriber submenu.

 

3.Select the proper VSS from the upper Select System drop-down menu.

 

4.Click 2_014 to upload VMS subscribers from VSS to EMS database.

1.Click the Maintenance main menu.

 

2.Select Account Data under the Backup&Restore submenu.

 

3.In the right Account Data window, click Download following VSS_xSubscriber (x is the VSS index number) to download subscriber file.

 

4.In the windows pop-up window, click the Save button.

 

5.Select a location on the local PC to save the csv file and click the Save button.

 

6.Find and verify the downloaded file on the local PC.

1.Create a VMS Subscriber with the required initialization parameters according to the previous section, click 2_030 instead of 2_029 at the last step.

 

2.Export VMS Subscribers according to the previous section.

 

3.Open the downloaded csv file by a text editor (UltraEdit is recommended).

 

4.Find the line of the new created subscriber in the file, replicate it to a new file.

 

5.Replicate this line to reach the numbers of subscribers want to import, a maximum of 5000 lines (subscribers) in a single file.

 

6.Find the MSISDN columns, modify all of them as required, save the file in a local directory.

1.Click the Advanced main menu, select VSS under the Subscriber submenu.

 

2.Select the proper VSS from the upper Select System drop-down menu.

 

3.Click 2_023 at the upper-right corner, select the saved file in the local directory, click 2_024 to upload the subscribers to the VSS.

 

4.Click 2_014 to upload VMS subscribers from the VSS to EMS database.
