Descriptions
The Parent and Children feature allows parents to put spending limits on their children's mobile phone usage. The calls made between parent and child can be charged in a discounted calling rate. Moreover, the numbers of charged calls the child can make are predefined on a daily basis. It is controlled by COS parameter.
The parent account is principal account while the children accounts are its supplementary accounts. The operator can restrict the following supplementary accounts characteristics for a specific principal account group (COS):
•The max calls can be made on a daily basis. •The max SMS can be sent on a daily basis. •Enable or disable child to transfer balance. •The ceiling credit can be complemented on a daily basis, or the lower credit limit to inform parent to transfer balance manually.
There are two ways to add supplementary accounts to principal account:
•Dial to the service center, and ask operator to add the main account number in the supplementary account profiles. •Dial to the service number to register and activate supplementary accounts by following the IVR instructions. After a successful binding, a notification short message will be sent to both the parent and child mobiles.
Each main account can own up to five supplement accounts. The PPS will automatically transfer credit from the main account to its supplementary accounts on a daily basis to top-up it to a preset ceiling credit. The supplement accounts can be set into senior rank and junior rank. Each rank of supplementary accounts can have its own ceiling credit. Since the credit will be transferred immediately when the supplementary account is created, the main account is not allowed to add supplementary account when his balance is lower than a preset minimal balance limit.
For example, the ceiling credit of senior account is 10$ and the ceiling credit of junior account is 5$. At the beginning of a day, there are 10$ in the senior account and 5$ in the junior account. At the end of the day, there remains 4$ in the senior account and 4$ in the junior account. The next day, the PPS will transfer 6$ from the parent account to its senior account to top-up it to 10$, and transfer 1$ to its junior account.
