Descriptions
Traffic in Erlangs Erlangs = meanTCHBusyTime * nbrOfAvailableTCHs * 0.01 / (60*60)
•Mean TCH Busy Time
This statistic provides the arithmetic mean of the busy time for TCHs in a cell, i.e. the time the channels have been occupied. This statistic is obtained by accumulating each TCHs busy time. Time stamp will be stored at the time BSC allocates a TCH. When the channel is released the TCH busy time is the difference of the current time and the stored time. This time will be added to a total maintained in the BTS object. At the time of reporting the mean will be calculated as total TCH busy time / number of available TCHs.
•Number of Available Traffic (TCH) Channels
This measurement provides the number of TCHs which are available for use (including those which are actually in use). This measurement reflects the value at the last sampling interval. This gauge will be incremented when the TCH becomes available and decremented when it becomes unavailable. The TCH is available when the administrative state is unlocked, enabled, online or shutting down, and is unavailable when its administrative state changes to locked. The gauge value equals the number of TCHs with an administrative state of unlocked or shutting down.
