The Equipment Identity Register stores the International Mobile Equipment Identity (IMEI) in the local switch. The EIR subscriber information includes the IMEI and service status.

 

 

Implementation

1.Click the Account main menu.

 

2.Select EIR under the Subscriber submenu.

 

3.Click 2_017 at the upper-right corner.

 

4.Fill in the IMEI (inquire by dialing the sequence *#06# into the phone) and service status for this subscriber.

 

5.Click 2_027 at the top of the parameter table to create this subscriber in EIR servers.

IMEI

International mobile station equipment identity and software version Number (IMEISV), as defined in TS GSM 03.03, is a 16-digit decimal number composed of four distinct elements:

6-digit Type Approval Code (TAC)

2-digit Final Assembly Code (FAC)

6-digit Serial Number (SNR)

2-digit Software Version Number (SVN)

Service Status

The ME has the following three states:

Black-listed = It contains all equipment identities that belong to equipment that need to be barred

Grey-listed = Equipment on the grey list is not barred (unless on the black list or not on the white list), but are tracked by the network (for evaluation or other purposes)

Note:

The EIR only stores the MEs that have the Blacklisted or Grey-listed state, the White-listed MEs is defined by the system parameter.

1.Click the Account main menu.

 

2.Select EIR under the Subscriber submenu.

 

3.Click the IMEI of the subscriber want to edit, this displays the editable parameter window.

 

4.Choose the service status of this subscriber as required.

 

5.Click the 2_020 button at the top of the parameter table to upload parameters to EIR servers.

 

6.Click the 2_019 button at the top of the parameter table to update parameters from EIR servers.

 

7.Verify that the service status have been saved for the subscriber.

1.Click the Account main menu.

 

2.Select EIR under the Subscriber submenu.

 

3.Click the IMEI of the subscriber want to delete, this displays the parameter window.

 

4.Click the 2_021 button at the top of the parameter table to delete this subscriber from EIR servers.

 

5.Click 2_014 to upload HLR subscribers from EIR to EMS database.

 

6.Verify the subscriber has been deleted from EIR.

1.Click the Account main menu.

 

2.Select EIR under the Subscriber submenu.

 

3.Click 2_014 to upload EIR subscribers from EIR to EMS database.

1.Click the Maintenance main menu.

 

2.Select Account Data under the Backup&Restore submenu.

 

3.In the right Account Data window, click Download following EIRSubscriber to download subscriber file.

 

4.In the windows pop-up window, click the Save button.

 

5.Select a location on the local PC to save the csv file and click the Save button.

 

6.Find and verify the downloaded file on the local PC.

1.Create a new text file by a text editor (UltraEdit is recommended).

 

2.Fill the file with two columns: IMEI (16-digit), Service Status (1=Blacklisted, 2=Greylisted).

3.Save the file in a local directory.

1.Click the Account main menu, select EIR under the Subscriber submenu.

 

2.Click 2_023 at the upper-right corner, select the saved file in the local directory.

 

3.Click 2_024 to upload the subscribers to EIR servers.
