Descriptions
The Configuration data backup facilitates the backup for MSS config files including parameters of all application subsystems. The backup files are produced by EMS server according to the config files stored in the MSS server.
The Configuration data restore facilitates the recover for MSS configuration including every application subsystems.
Since the MSS application processes will be automatically restarted, the restore command has to be used carefully especially when working on a live network. The process of restart will take at least 10 minutes to initialize the MSS running environment. Perform GET ALL operation on each subsystem to update parameters from MSS to EMS GUI after MSS configuration restored.
Functionalities
•Backup the config files of MSS server
•Download backup config files to client PC
•Restore backup config files to recover MSS configuration
Operations
1.Go to EMS >Maintenance >Backup&Restore >Configuration.
2.Click the upper Backup button to back up the current MSS configuration into an archive.
3.The backup archive is displayed in the backup file list, click its download hyperlink to download it to client PC.

1.Go to EMS >Maintenance >Backup&Restore >Configuration.
2.Select and click the proper backup file in the backup file list to display it in the upper Restore File box.
3.Click the Restore button to recover the selected MSS configuration.
4.The MSS application processes are restarted automatically, wait for 10 minutes.
5.Go to EMS >Configuration >Parameter.
6.Perform Get All operation to update parameters from MSS to EMS GUI.
