Descriptions
The network data backup facilitates the backup for all UltraWAVE parameters including the public parameters of all devices and the private parameters of each subsystem. The backup files are produced by EMS server according to the parameters stored in the EMS server. Consequently before downloading the backup files, make sure the parameters stored in the EMS server are completely same as those in the devices.
All parameter backup files are CSV files which can be opened and edited by any text editor including MS Office Excel. The backup files cover the parameters of MSC, HLR, VLR, PPS, AUC, EIR, SMSC, VMS, and platforms (MTP3 and SCCP).
To download the backup files from the EMS server to the client PC, click the correspondent Download. In the opened prompt window, specify the path in the client PC to store the backup files. To restore the parameter setup for a device or one of its subsystems, please follow the procedures below:
1.Click the Upload on this page.
2.On the open page, click on Browse button to browse out the parameter backup file from the client PC.
3.Click the Submit button to upload the parameter backup file to the EMS server from client PC.
4.On the EMS configuration page, click Set to set these parameters to the device.

Operations
For example, to create a backup file of current SCCP configuration and store it to client PC, follow these steps:
1.Log on to the EMS using the account manager.
2.Select Advanced -> Network -> Parameters.
3.On the operation page, select SCCP at the Entity navigator. Keep the ID navigator as default SCCP_pub.
4.Click 2.Configuration to open the operation page on the right frame.
5.Click GET button to read the current SCCP configuration from MSS to EMS read buffer.
6.Select Maintenance -> Backup&Restore -> Network data.
7.To download the backup files of SCCP configuration, select Parameter -> SCCP, and click Download to download the backup files to client PC.

For example, to upload a parameter backup file of SCCP platform and activate it on the current SCCP platform, follow these steps.
1.Log on to the EMS using the account manager.
2.Select Maintenance -> Backup&Restore -> Network data.
3.On the operation page, select Parameter -> SCCP -> Upload.
4.Click Browse button to select the SCCP backup file in client PC, and then click Submit button to upload this file to the EMS database.
5.Select Advanced -> Network -> Parameters.
6.At the Entity navigator, select SCCP, and keep the ID as default SCCP_pub. At the Select bar, use the default ----.
7.Click Configuration to open the operation page on the right frame. On the operation page, click SET button to download this backup file to all SCCP platforms on EMS and MSS.
8.Select 3. Management - > 2. Command ->. Click on set.. to open the set window. Select Save parameter from the drop-down menu and click on Set button to confirm and withdraw.
9.On the operation page, click on SET to perform this command.
